|Join us for an unforgettable experience aboard one of the few remaining airworthy B-17s in the world - EAA's Aluminum Overcast!|
|Watch history come alive by climbing aboard the 65,000 pound B-17 bomber and step back in time to the World War ll era. Stand in the footsteps of the bombardier, the navigator, and the waist gunner and relive history by riding in one of World War II's most vital and magnificent aircraft.
Because of their long range capability, B-17s were known for flying into battle with no fighter escort relying on their own defensive capabilities to ensure a successful mission. After the war, most were cut up for scrap, used for Air Force research or sold on the surplus market. With less than 15 B-17s still airworthy, this is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
